I cannot express how tired I was after this trip, but I would do it again in a heartbeat! The trip there and back driving took about 6 hours, not including stopping for gas and to take an hour nap. Trying to find the place was challenging considering it was pitch black and I had only been there once before. It was so refreshing to sit on the sand and watch the sun rise over Lake Superior. Here are just a few beautiful pictures of the Black Sand Beach in Silver Bay.
This was not only my first time shooting a wedding, but also my first time traveling alone, and my first time going to California. Honestly it was amazing, exhausting, and all-around fun. I learned a lot about myself during this time, this trip. I can do it on my own, I enjoyed being on my own. I won't lie and say it's the way I prefer to travel, because there were moments, I missed having someone standing beside me, witnessing the beauty this world has to offer. But just like that, I still have the memories to take with me, the stories to share with everyone. Even if I was alone. The wedding was beautiful, and chaotic. If I could do it again, I would take my time with some of the photos, I would watch more and listen more. The photos I took came out beautiful; the bride loves them. That is what matters, they look so happy and in love! Had an amazing time in California for the first time! Shot my first Wedding!
